On a camping trip to become what she wants, Allie gets another surprise
Allie glared up at the blinding sky as she wiped her hand over her brow. She took a moment to remind herself just why she was doing this in the first place.

“I want to be skinny, I want to be what men want,” she thought to herself.

“Are you coming Allie?” her hiking-guide, and best friend, Dylan yelled.

“Yeah! Sorry, I’m just-“

She didn’t know what to say. Sorry, I’m just fat? No, that wouldn’t do. Dylan, as gay as he may be, loved Allie and would never hear a bad word about her.

“It’s fine darling, let’s just get to the campsite and I promise we won’t hike against until tomorrow,” he said.

He came back down the trail, his toned hairless legs bouncing with ease down the rocky dirt, and took her hand.

“Thanks,” she mumbled.

Allie brushed her chocolate brown bangs from her forehead and took a deep breath, determined to make it to the camp. She squeezed his hand and they started back up.

“So Evan is waiting for us at the top?” she asked, careful to step over a branch laying in her path.

“Yep! He’s going to have all the food ready for us,” Dylan said. “I don’t see how that boy cooks and eats so much, and doesn’t gain as much as an ounce!”

Allie sent him a look that said “You’re telling me” and grinned.

“I don’t know why he’s with me half the time Allie, I mean, he’s so thin and tall and bright-“

“Stop right there Dylan,” Allie demanded, pausing to take a needed breath. “You are sexy as hell, and your I.Q is off the charts, plus you’re the best hair stylist I’ve ever known. I know exactly why Evan loves you.”

And she did. She had long held a torch for her gay friend, but never let him know. Since they met back in high school, both as outcasts, they had never separated. She instantly fell for his dark brown hair and green eyes, which seemed to sparkle like an emerald in the sunset; Plus the fact he was totally honest and a sweet heart, made her become hooked. She knew she never stood a chance, even if he was straight. She stood at 5’1, while he was 6’4. She was plump and thought her face to be a total mess all the time, whereas he never had a single zit or scar in his life. So she settled for his best friend.

“Thank you babe,” he muttered, stopping to hug her.

His firm arms pulled her to him and she took a deep breath, taking in his intoxicating scent. Most men stink when they sweat, but his smell drove her crazy. She pulled away after a moment and smiled.

“Let’s get back to your man sweetie,” she said.

“Well, he’s only about fifteen feet away,” he said.

They gave each other a distinct look, and then raced off. His long legs beat hers by a mile, but he let her catch up near the end, claiming to be tired. Both ambushed the small campsite and the man in it with laughter as they fell down.

“Oh my lord! You scared the hell out of me!” Evan yelled.

Allie took one look at Evan wearing his designer clothing and his “kiss the cook” apron, with one hand on his hip and the other holding a spatula, and she burst out laughing again.

“E-Evan! We’re camping! Didn’t you bring some, you know, out door clothes?” she asked, rising from her drooping stance.

Dylan paced over and quickly wrapped his lover in his arms. Allie smiled, loving seeing her friend so happy, but her heart also tore a little more.
